WUFT-FM takes home eight regional Murrow awards
Congratulations to WUFT-FM staff and students for winning eight first place awards at the 2012 regional Edward R. Murrow competition. The eight regional awards are the most received by the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications’ radio stations since the awards competition began.
The Radio Television Digital News Association sponsors the awards, which are named after the legendary broadcast journalist. These first place regional winners move on to the national competition in June. WUFT-FM competed against professionals in region 14, which includes Florida, Georgia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
