Jon Morris speaks at international conference, notified of paper’s acceptance
Jon Morris has had an exciting month. On Dec. 5, he was a featured speaker at the LT Accelerate Conference in Brussels, Belgium. The conference theme was Language Technology; Jon spoke on “Advertising vs. Privacy: Emotional and Rational Responses.” His speech came from the results of a Social Media Marketing and Advertising Communications study that will be published in the Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising.”
The article, “Are Social Marketing and Advertising Communications (SMACS) Meaningful: A Survey of Facebook User Emotional Responses, Source Credibility, Personal Relevance, and Perceived Intrusiveness,” was researched and written with graduate students Yunmi Choi and Ilyoung Ju.
