Dave Carlson’s MOOC a huge hit

Carlson-mooc-300x168Congratulations to Dave Carlson!! More than 30,500 people from 70 countries have signed up so far for the Massive Open Online Course he’s teaching. “Music’s Big Bang: The Genesis of Rock ‘n’ Roll” debuted March 13 on Coursera.org. Already there are postings from students in South Africa, New Zealand, Russia, Germany, Mexico, China, Moldova, Canada, India, Poland and The Netherlands. Dave’s course currently has the second largest enrollment of any MOOC being produced by UF.

Dave’s class  concentrates on the pre-history of rock ‘n’ roll. It was developed in cooperation with UF’s Distant and Continuing Education department.
